And again He (the Lord Jesus) began to teach by the sea. And a great multitude was gathered to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat in it on the sea; and the whole multitude was on the land facing the sea. Then He taught them many things by parables, and said to them in His teaching:

“Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it. Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away. And some seed fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”

And He said to them, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

But when He was alone, those around Him with the twelve asked Him about the parable. And He said to them, “To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables, so that

‘Seeing they may see and not perceive,
And hearing they may hear and not understand;
Lest they should turn,
And their sins be forgiven them.’

And He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables? The sower sows the word. And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts. These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness; and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they stumble. Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.” (Mark 4:1-20)

Being fruitful

Have you made a choice to follow the Lord Jesus as your Savior and Lord? That is fantastic! Now how will your life continue?

  • Will you immediately forget it again?
  • Will you, after having received it with joy, only endure for some time and stumble as soon as circumstances get hard?
  • Will you allow worries, greed or riches to swallow you up and make you forget it?
  • Or… will YOUR LIFE be fruitful, bearing plenty of fruit!!! We hope so, for of course that’s the best option!

Make sure to be in the last category, and stay close to the Lord always! We strongly recommend you to find a good church or group of other christians: a place where the Lord Jesus is the centerpoint and where people believe and live according to the Bible. That will give you support and help you to grow in faith. Don’t give up on the Lord Jesus in this life, one day He will give you His reward!

When having questions

On these websites you can not only read more, but also ask your questions:

When you have made a choice for Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, just like we did, we will surely meet in heaven since the Lord Jesus guarantees us everlasting life! We look forward to that moment. For now, we would like to wish you: God’s love, blessings and nearness in your life! May you grow and blossom in faith!

Jesus said:

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

“For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” (John 5:22-24)

He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. (John 3:36)

And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:40)
